Beachie Heritage Walk Tuesday 5th July 2pm
This walk centres on the fishing community in Broughty Ferry,and reveals the life as it was for the folks in the Fisher Street area. Ferry. Refreshments will be provided after the walk at The Brook, Broughty Ferry Presbyterian Church, 343 Brook Street. The approximate length of walk will be one hour.

Broughty Ferry Gala 2016 Gets off to a Great Start

Despite changeable weather, The 2016 Broughty Ferry Gala Fete earlier today was, once again, a tremendous success attracting over 3,000 people to Castle Green Park to join in the family fun. 

The picture shows the winners of the Fancy Dress Competition.

Gala week runs from 3rd - 10th July 2016 so there's still a whole week more of seaside fun to be had in The Ferry – whether its window spotting and all the other competitions for children which run all week, or the car boot sale and the Secret Gardens of Broughty Ferry next weekend.

This year's Broughty Ferry Gala week began today. The eight day programme of events is available in a colourful booklet, free of charge, from shop counters in the Ferry.

Amongst the "Summer Fun for all the Family", a particular personal favourite of mine is the shop window guessing competition for the children which has apparently been a feature of the Gala Week since 1932. Spotting the out of place item in 54 shop windows is an intriguing test of perception and a good tour of shop and office fronts in the Ferry. Well done the Gala Week Committee.
